man, i've been getting this problem since day 1, Does Cod4 host the server or does the host have to stand-alone as his own server?

Has anyone ever found the answer to this problem? it has resurected again. I haven't been able to get a list of servers for 2 weeks now. I have this exact problem... any ansers as I see this post is 4 months old?

Samer here, no servers for about two weeks. I can play Crysis and Battlefield 2 online no problem. I'm running XP and my ISP is Verizon, no firewall or router. COD4 worked great for about 8 months, then all of a sudden, no servers........

My issue was resolved by not just disabling, but completely uninstalling my Komodo firewall.

Well i don't know if this is still happening or not. I bought my game of the year copy in Oct 08 and have never been able to play MP. I have tried everything I know: patches, reinstall, firewall settings, pb setup, sound driver fixes, the "plug in headphones" fix...all to no avail. COD WAW works great on multiplayer but not COD4. *sigh* A big part of buying COD4 was multiplayer and so far...nothing. Big let down especially since I hear COD4 multiplayer far surpasses COD WAW. Anybody know what's up?
