No servers :(

Hi, Ive been playing cod 4 for long now got to lvl 41 and decided to patch. after patching i look and theres no games to choose, even pressing quick refresh and refresh there isnt any servers.. what i do?

make sure you downloaded the right patch and make sure your firewall isnt blocking anything

i too did the patch. the xmas update map and 1.4-1.5, both updated thru the game. my firewall is off. still no luck. any ideas?

Just make sure you can connect to a server first
Find a server you like here, or w/e and see if you can connect.

Call of Duty 4 :: Game Server / Player Search :: Game - Monitor . COM

and copy an IP to a populated server

by pressing the Tilda key and put in the server ip

/connect ip

ort

Example:

/connect 209.40.99.14:28960

Yup all works fine now thanks. All i Did was rechecked and redid the ports for cod 4 as my firewall was disabled and it stil didnt work. and i checked a port for both udp and tcp.

Would you guys mind walking me through how you solved the problem? How do I open up the correct ports if I'm not even behind a router or software firewall? The game was working flawlessly until I installed 1.6 and now it's fubar... Thanks in advance for the info!

I had the same problem after 1.7. I tried several solutions but nothing seemed to work. Finally, I logged onto my router (older Linksys wired router) and set all of my port forwarding to forward to the computer I was trying to play COD4 on--I won't detail those port numbers, but I had a decent amount of forwards set up. Some of them didn't point to my gaming rig anymore because DHCP reassigns IPs as your computers shut down and start up. One of the ports was the COD4 server port 28960.

Hi peopel i can connect mannuly using the key obove tab and typing in /connect (ip adrees) but i will go awting connection 1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10.11 and then it will say you have timed out. i did the paches and it was te same so i unistalled it and tryed agin with out the pachs but the same still no servers but my friend can see the servers and he has done no paches or anything . I really want to know how to see the servers agin so PLZ HELP
