Need help to do cb server!!

well in cod 2 i did well good servers but till now in cod 4 i cant get up even a public server the only server i bring up is that from the game i did everything the CFG file the shortcut on the desktop and the target all by expiernce and with forums help but when i click on the shortcut the window that shows that the server is running its ok but on xfire the server is there but not with my CFG and i noticed that the server that is showing xfire is the server which i made with the game 'start new server' what can i do? help please!
