OMG!!! im such a prat! i found out why it wasent working. when i was reading thought i thought it was going on about the main cod4 folder not that there was a folder in the cod4 folder called "Main" lool

Does anyone have a list of console commands...such as restarting the server...that ones the main one im in need of atm.

I can't get my server to start.......I followed the guide but when I exec server.cfg it errors out saying alot of dvars not found and then crashes......any ideas?

I felt compelled to post this message because I've spent hours and hours trying many cfg files posted on various forums and failing to get my dedicated server working. At the risk of sounding dense, I finally figured out why my dedicated server would not work. The shortcut command and switches I was using was like the following: (your actual install path is needed)

"<install path>/iw3mp.exe" +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg

I later started typing server commands in the console and I got error messages stating the server was not running. Out of desperation, I added the following switch to my shortcut command......+map_rotate....so my shortcut now looks like:

"<install path>\iw3mp.exe" +set dedicated 2 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate

That switch is apparently what makes the server initialize and load the first map. Without it, I have not been able to get the server to work. What is confusing to me is, I've seen that switch used but I haven't see any words stating the importance of having that in your shortcut or cfg file. I wanted to help people who were struggling, like I was, to get their server working. Hopefully, this will help.

128k upload: 4 players

Yes, I saw that one. But all I want is to be able to calculate a monthly bandwidth usage.
Taking under consideration that post we have
128/4 kbps per player = 32/8 = 4 kBps per player
384/8 kbps per player = 48/8 = 6 kBps per player
768/10 kbps per player = 76.8/8 = 9.6 kbps per player

Which one of the above is true? I mean it's a pretty big difference between between 4 and 9.5 kBps per player...
