No,
from what i understand the servers are free to use under GPL. (at least the linux dedicated svr is). This relates to dedicated servers only, because you will not be playing the game using the server installation, only hosting.

but someone correct me if i am wrong

Hi,

Please first excuse any questions I ask, because they might be stupid to you but this is the first time I am trying this and I haven't had much luck searching and this is my first post..so on to the questions...

Basically I am running a LAN where we are going to have a computer which is going to be our server for all the things we need to run.

Now the thing is I would like to host COD4 servers on this computer so that all who are connected to our network(wired) can connect.

So how do I go about setting up a basic LAN server or I might even want to do a few, were all I want is that maps rotate, anti-cheat is on and that I can specify how long per map....thanks a lot for all the help hopefully to come.

Regards
