Hello everyone, my name is NWoodward,
im trying to run my own server, when i use the ingame server dedicated to the internet, a console comes up, i leave that bit be. i go into cod 4 to try and run it, i look at all the multiplayer maps but cant find mine in the list, but when i click local its in there, HOW?>?? i thought i chose internet
please help ?????

If you are behind a router you need to open up 28960 as the game port & 2 others that i forget to your internet IP Address. Your server will take a time to appear on the server listing.

If you dont want to run it all the time, you can always run it as a listen server.
