Default cod4 on linux
ok,I have a Kimsufi L Dedicated server,100/100,Ubuntu 8,04 is installed on it.I want to be able to host a cod4 server on it.
I installed cod4 without any problems,then I installed pb,everything was fine.But,when I create a shortcut to console("/home/admin/downloads/call of duty 4/iw3mp.exe" +set dedicated 2 +set sv_punkbuster 1 +exec dedicated.cfg +map_rotate) this happenes:


and when I click yes:

I really need help with this.

Moved to CoD4 server support.

Are you using Ubuntu Server edition? 32 or 64 bit? Are you using an AMD or Intel CPU? Yes this can make a difference. IF you're using an AMD CPU you probably want the i386 Ubuntu Server edition.

You might want to have a look at How To: Run Call of Duty 4 (COD4): Modern Combat in Linux | fsckin w/ linux and CoD4 Server Issues - Ubuntu Forums to see if there's any help in there.

Ubuntu Desktop 8.04,32 bit,CPU is intel.

Either of the links I posted any help? From what I've seen you're much better off with the server edition for hosting a server... You can select which version of the server edition you want, and download it here: Download Ubuntu Server | Ubuntu

To be honest I'm taking an interest in this issue myself. I plan to be setting up a linux server soon
