I was playing search and destroy and I picked up the bomb went to plant it and realised i didnt have the bomb.
My mates then told me after they died they were watching my soldier and noticed after picking the bomb up I immediately dropped it.
How or why did this happen?

it happens when one of your teammates leaves the game... i think. thats what causes mine anyway.

This has happened to me before, as well. I believe it is just due to lag, and issues of that source. At the beginning of a match(with teams), everyone is so closely packed, that is why there can be problems in the start of a match. I wouldn't worry, almost everyone has the problem, unless, of course, they play FFA, of which has no teams. - schaffinos

This hasn't happend to me ever, but I've seen it happen to people on my team. Suddenly, the bomb is left behind, but no one has died. Weird...
