I changed the knife button to crouch, as I was used to Battlefield Bad Company but that was already after I was getting used to the knife as that button. So whenever I went to stab someone I would crouch instead without thinking. Needless to say, I changed it back straight away.

^ lol thats the exact reason i aint changed it i'll be trying to knife someone and just bobbing up and down in front of them.

Cripes how do you get used to the sensitivity that high??

i tried to play with tactical(knife O). first i tried in the campaign, then i played one match. i don't try to knife much, but i crouch alot so i was really messed up, but i got 3 more knife kills then i usually do.
But i usually play default, medium sensitivity.

I use default but have switched the grenade buttons for the trigger/aim buttons as this was how the buttons were when i played cod on my 360

i play using the button layout : tactical is much more better nd has help me get out of tight situations. i can click the R3 while aiming so im lying down and shootin the enemy at the same time. i hardly use the knife anyways even if i run face to face to someone my first instinct is to shoot cuz i hate how the knives work on cod4. sometimes they work sometimes they dont.

I don't know how they do it either.

I was using the default sensitivity setting (low I think) until I saw the responses to this post, then thought maybe that's how some of the people were getting the kill quicker on me.

So I set mine to 5 and while it took some getting used to, I could never go back to low. It's improved my gameplay tremendously. Donno if I'll go any higher though.
