the new update..
i never got it
i can still go online and do all the usual stuff. but when i got to system update it says the is no update to be downloaded on my ps3 its like there is no update at all...

yep, I started a thread earlier on this. It has been taken down because of the update frying a lot of PS3's. Should be rolling it back out again soon when the correct the issues... I hope

Is the new update only for the PS3 because I haven't heard anything like this for the 360?

360 has had the features of the update for 2+ years now. Also, consider yourself lucky that you weren't able to get the update. So far for me it has made playing cod4 online an impossibility, disabled the L2 and R2 triggers on my controller somehow, and has made Oblivion crash. 2.4 was a big mistake on the part of Sony.

You should take legal action against Sony...with that much money you think they would have tested it before release.

it lets u acess the main menu with out leving the game
i think its a good update but if it frys ur ps3 that not good

are you serious! Sony put an update out and it frys the PS3, you would think with that all the money they have that they would've tested it over and over and over again. If my PS3 were to get fryed, I would try and get money from Sony and jump to the 360.
Good kuck with the update.
