Well at first I used iron lungs when I got it because of the reasons Ryan has stated...also the other reason of your scope freaking out if you let go of your breath too soon. However, these days I never use iron lungs as i try to take my shot as quick as I can and move on. Normally if I cannot get the shot I let the rifle drop and retry to hold my breath.

Iron lungs would come in very handy if you have a good team and you can sit back a bit and pick people off...and I can say that it is very useful on the wetworks map...especially if you are trying to pick off that pesky sniper on the other end of the boat!

I used to use it, but as I have progressed in experience on the game, I found that there are other perks in the 3rd category which I can benefit from more, and so iron lungs became obselete for me.

Type CapgunTom into youtube, I think you'll change your mind
The way i snipe with a regular scope is to look through the scope with a high sensitivity so I can swing round quickly to see large areas of the map. If I see somone my scope will already nearly be on them, hold breath for less than a second whilst lining up and shoot. Barely ever miss, eliminates any need for Iron lungs, leaving perk 3 open for deep impact or steady aim! Speed = kills, iron lungs = n00b
