Just got online with COD4 a few nights ago. Still learning and getting OWNED on a minute to minute basis!
Anyway how do you drop a grenade afer you've been shot or during the process? Am I just getting unlucky and running onto a grenade that my victim was just cooking? I'm learning not to rush in and pick up a fools gun after I shoot but it still gets me every now and again!

That probably is the MARTYRDOM perk,
It gives you the ability to pull the pin out off a grenade the second you should normally die and drop it. The martyrgrenade has a much shorter detonation time, so it's cooked even if you did not do that. You get that perk when you level up. don't exactly know at what level you get it.
What also can happen is that you kill someone who is cooking a grenade out of his inventory. this looks the same as martyrdom but isn't the perk.
Great that you allready start picking up weapons from fallen enemies, it took me a while to start doing that, i messed with the Overkillperk first but i think it's a waste of perk 2, I much rather use UAVjammer or sleight of hand.

Yeah Martydom is required for this, it's a good move when in close proxmity but tbh I hate it, Noobie you could say.

just keep on at it, keep playing team death match to get your exp up without getting your deaths up like a donkey on viagra.

You will get challenges from lvl 10 I beleive, just try and complete these when you can to get bonus EXP, good way to get to the higher levels faster.

Ya martydom is a great way to help ur k/d ratio. I get like 4 more kills a game with martydom. Altho nowadays I find myself not equipping it anymore.

Well you will have to wait awhile for the martydom perk as it is unlocked at level 17...and once you get it I suggest using it A LOT. It is the one perk that is well worth using IMO

Martydom is the problem you got, I had the same issue when I first got online, I was like wow, these guys drop it just before they die, how amazing, then I tried and of course, it didnt work, then I reached level 17 and unlocked martydom, which explained everything.
