I definitely agree PS3 kicks the 360's butt. Plus before this update issue, I haven't heard of any common issue of having their playstations fried (Red Ring of Death anyone... ).

Hopefully this moves into the past very quickly and playstation repairs the damaged playstations, even out of warranty, for free since it's their screw up.

I was talking about the 2.4 update that has been breaking people's playstations, not the overheating thing.

However, as for overheating, as far as I can tell, aside from doing something stupid (leaving the PS3 run in a closed cabinet or something), it rarely ever over heats. I've never had a problem with mine and I have it in my wall unit, no ac or fan or anything.

What games are the trophies enabled for?

I am one of the victims that the 2.4 update bricked my PS3. Called Sony yesterday they are sending me the box to send it back to them.

I too was lucky enough to get thwe prompt around 5:30pm GMT when i turned my PS3 on to play COD4 online, couldn't sign in as system update available.

Did the update, AOK installed fine.

not really tested anything on it though, so that's my night planned for tonight.
