Press R2 to throw back grenade

I've been playing this game for months and never able to do this. I press it, hold it... what am I doing wrong?

How do you throw back a grenade???

ya, but if the player cooked the nade, or threw it up high, then it would probably blow up on you.

throw one next to ur self, walk on it, and hit r2 to threw it again..

Successfully throwing back a grenade thrown at u by the opposing team is like hitting the lottery. Your never going to do it. Ur best bet is to run/find cover. The controls in the game allow u to throw it back.....but with the chances ive just listed, means it aint ever going to happen.

Okay i mighta overexaggerated a bit, becuz im sure there are people on here that hav successfully dun it w/o blowing up. But chances are u wont be able to do it 98% of the time.

the only way you can throw back a grenade without it exploding in ur hands is that if the person who threw it didnt cook it(held the granade for a few seconds before throwing it) or threw it directly at you(didnt throw it high)

Ya.....and the chances of a grenade not being cooked or thrown from a distance are slim to none. Face it.....ur gunna die if u dont run.

If the grenade is cooked, then you're dead. But if someone doesn't cook it, throwing the nade back can get you a few kills, I usually attempt it, most of the time i'll at least get the grenade away from me before it blows

Ive never been able to throw away a grenade. They always explode in my hand. Ive found that if u dont see the "press R2 to throw it back", on ur screen immediatley u hav no chance. However, if ur standing in place and it lands right at ur feet, theres a glimpse of hope. But if ur walking/running and all u see is the grenade icon and then the R2 pops up, ur a goner....unless u can book it.
