Default A lot of support from the gaming community?

So I have been reading around, that the support from the gaming community is low to none on the Playstation 3 game Call of Duty 4. The support from Xbox 360 and PC have been overwhelmingly more.. Why is this? If you are a PS3 fan, and would like to share your input to why your gaming console is better then another, or you would like to share why the support for COD4: PS3 seems to be lower than the other supported machines out there, share your input!

Well when I hear the COD4 will only beta test on one console it takes some of the hype away. I'm pretty much going to ignore the banter untill it's close to being released for the PS3.

And yes I also use my PS3 for Blu-Ray movies :D

The PS3 doesn't have that large of a fanbase, let alone an online community. Plus, both the PC and 360 have been around longer.

I look at it from a view that a lot of people do.

The PS3 has a fairly decent userbase, but not a very good online community. They usually stick to their big gun game and that's it. Whereas the 360 and PC gamers move around from game to game and thus start to appreciate what games they have and the online community available for every game. I just popped in FNR3 a few days ago and 20 people were on. The game is near 2 years old now, and for a sports game, to have 20 people on in the morning on a weekday really speaks to how well XBL and their community is.

When I had a PS2 the online game that was active at all for a long time was Socom and Madden.

My brother has a PS3 he says they've got lots of potential to catch up to the 360.

The PS3 does have potential but whether Sony unleashes that potential is up to them, they are however trying to reduce the price and what not in which they did recently and that will allow some people to buy it.

As it is right now the PS3 is doing pretty horrible and thus it's community is fairly small but with a smaller community and the price of the console would give the community more mature players that can afford the console but whether the community is small or large there are still the haters and whatnot.

As far as how many people per game, the PS3 has a lot of new games coming out some of which could be console sellers and this would be very beneficial to the online community obviously :P.
