Default CPU Lag

A few questions about the PC mode, i have it for the PS3, but You never have the quickness and accuracy a mouse has..

1. You get the cd, put it in, do you have to install it and run it with the CD every time? Does it slow down the cpu? Ill be using a brand new Slimline with 220gb of memory.

2.not connection lag, but like, slow lag because your CPU is just bogged down with the game... Does this happen? I really want the CPU version

1. You have to install the game yes, but to play multiplayer you don't have to put the cd in the reader. For SinglePlayer you do need the CD inserted

2. I think you are confusing the PC with the CPU.

The CPU or Central Processing Unit is the hart of the PC. If you want to be sure that your PC can run COD 4 try this link.

Can You RUN It?

Select Call Of Duty 4 in the list and press the test button.

Or post up your system specs and We'll tel you.
Bye

whats a slimline? laptop? and i think you mean 220gb of storage, not memory

cod4 or any other game is mostly dependent on the video card, but cpu and ram are important too. nobody laugh but i play on a P4 2.8Ghz, 1gig ram, and geforce 7600. sometimes my framerate drops to 20 fps and it sucks. its a huge disadvantage but its still playable...sort of. personally that's the lowest system specs i would play on and only for casual play. i stick to smaller servers and never use smoke hardest thing to do is hit someone while they're running.

I'm all for someone switching from console to PC but I'm pretty sure you can get a keyboard and mouse for the ps3 if that computer doesn't work out and you don't want to upgrade.

It def. sucks when your framerate is low. Hard enough to hit someone running without the choppiness. U need to come over from the dark side and play the best FPS on a PC, where it's supposed to be played on. You could get a keyboard and mouse for your PS3, but you'll find it's still not as accurate as a PC.
