Hello guys
I really don't like action games either for PC or PS but when I bought COD4 to try it I liked it so so much, it's the best.
I was sure before I bought it thats it was not going to work on my Intel M Processor 3.6GHz, 1GB RAM, !!!128 MB ATI Radeo X300!!!, I knew the RAM and CPU speed is good but the graphic card was the problem, but the game worked sooo good, I'm sure there is no better picture or speed of the game, till now I can't believe how it had worked, my best guesses is the graphic card type, it's PCI express.
thankx
Here's an idea. Take the COD4 minimum spec sheet into Bond and Bond and get them to guarantee that COD4 will work on the computer you are looking at purchasing.
That way you can be sure that you won't get home and find yourself stranded when it comes to install time.
Also, from experience, do a bit of shopping around for the best price and ask Bond and Bond to better it. Better yet try Dick Smiths Electronics, they usually always try to beat other retailers. Bond and Bond do have a price promise though, worth a shot. I've saved myself hundreds before by doing it that way.
EDIT: I just discovered that Noel Leeming are doing the same deal at the same price but you get 79 Fly Buys points if you buy from them. Bit of an added bonus you wouldn't get from Bond and Bond.
Judging by the specs, the computer will be fine to run COD4. The only borderline requirement you have is the processor speed but you just make it in at 2.4 GHz.
I've seen computers that are years old running COD4, it basically just comes down to a good graphics card.
I'm not an expert by any means, I just went though this same process when buying my computer a year ago. Had to research all the specs.
As long as you physically ask Bond and Bond if it will run on the computer then you won't have any problems at all, just remember the name of the person you spoke to just in case. I'm sure you'll be fine though.
If anyone else has anything to add please feel free to share your views.

Yeah but does Intel Quad Core not make a difference to my 2.4Ghz?
I thought that since it only says Intel Core 2 Duo with 2.4Ghz that if I had Quad Core it would dominate? Any thoughts?
Can anybody tell me if the PC im looking at has HDMI out? Because I really want to play COD4 on my 52"!
Just noticed your question at the end of your thread. I'm not sure if it has an HDMI port on the back or not, I know the X-series does but not sure about the V-series.
If it doesn't have an HDMI port you can still run your computer through your TV in HD by using a DVI ---> HDMI cable.
I need to purchase a new gfx card to play COD4, I was wondering if the nVidia Gefore 6200 would run it?
My system is running an Intel single core processor @ 2.7Ghz with 1GB RAM. It's 4 years old now (upgraded RAM previously) so the mobo doesn't support PCI-e so I'm looking for an inexpensive AGP card (under £30 would be good, as I can't afford to splash out right now)
Any suggestions? I've heard the ATI Radeon x1650 PRO will run it, but its £35.
