Command line for COD4 MP over steam

Hello,

I want to launch COD4 MP in steam using command line option.

When I use the command:
..\Steam>steam -applaunch 7940 +connect IPort,

I get a dialog which gives a choce to either launch SP or MP versions of the game.

Is there some command line option which could specify that MP version is to be opened, so that the dialog can be bypassed?

Could you not just make a shortcut for steam to launch the game?

I have to launch COD 4 Multiplayer over steam from within my application... so the shortcut option will not be useful for me.

You bought it from Steam, right? well, I really believe that any game has to have Steam running, it is part of the anti cheat Steam runs.

Try the Steam forums.

where do you enter this command line--is it after the game begins--if not how would you enter it before the game begins-i know nothing about this stuff
