Hey people.
Im having this terrible experience: every time i play CoD4, i get this message ''Connection Interrupted'', along with a huge lag. Sometimes is lasts a little, but mostly it stays for like 20 seconds or more, dropping me off the server.
Once i even got an in-game message, just before i got kikced, from PunkBuster, and it said something about packet limitation.
My PunkBuster is up to date, and i dont get PB errors. I play CoD4 1.7 version.
BTW, and i guess this is the problem and the source for some solution, i'm using a wireless router.
Its a D-Link DI-524. I use a PCI wireless desktop adapter, D-Link DWL-G510.
My download speed is very good, and i dont get trouble with downloading and internet browsing.
I've alrdeay searched some forums, but found nothing useful, so im posting this.
Thanks for the attention, guys. Hope someone can figure this out.

im on a wireless router, so its not that.
dont download anything while you play, dont have the internet open, check the firewalls, look for a server that is close to home.
We used to have a member who had this problem and was using wireless as well, he sorted by getting rid of the wireless so dont rule it out just cause someone else's is fine. Try all options until you find what works.
I'm also using A D-Link wireless router, and i have the same problem. what i did made it better, but i still sometimes get the laaaaaaaaaaaaag and connection error
What you can try:
Open console, and now set packetduplication to 0
\cl_packetdup 0
Open console, and set the max amount of packages to 15 (PB will kick you off certain servers for this)
\cl_maxpackets 15
If this doesn't make it better, i think you should accept the fact that wireless connections are ********** as it comes to online gaming. I'm going to connect my pc to my router with a cable.
Good Luck
Speedtest.net : Download speed - 1972 kb/s
Upload speed - 1914 kb/s
And it also shows a 23 ms ping.
This gets pretty funny considering my ping in the game is always sort of high, and im having trouble with the connection.
So, 7even, im going to try that, nad then ill tell you guys what happened..
Thanks for the reply, everyone !
See ya
So.. I've tryed those console stuff. It does get better. My ping still the same , but there is no lag or ''Connection Interrupted''. In servers near home, my ping goes down fairly, and things are really good.
But now i got another problem.
PunkBuster kicks me for those maxpackets, as 7even alerted me. I've tryed raising the number of maxpackets to 16, but it still kicked me for that. Ill give a try on raising it more. BTW, wats the default maxpackets ?
Just one more thing.. Can Xfire mess thing up ?
Thanks ppl !

Default maxpackets is 30. I've noticed that not all servers kick for Maxpackets 15. So if you can find some good ones that don't kick you, you can play there.
Most of the time when it does kick you it asks for a maxpacket of 30.
i use xfire AND teamspeak while playing, the connection interrupt only happens when i ALT + TAB out and talk on xfire or something, then i go back in and connection interrupt
also, sometimes it interrupts for no reason, then i alt tab out and alt tab back in and its gone
the sound spikes when it goes back to normal though >.<
especially if some1 airstrikes and your connection interrupts and when it comes back to normal, 3 airstrike sound efffects in .5 seconds ouch >.<
