ok 95% my game runs at 100+ FPS but from time to time ( quite often ) my FPS drops to like 15-30 FPS which frezes the game for like 1 second and i wake up 20 feet in the direction i was walking at that moment. ive looked at a lot of tweak guides did all the good stuff but its still happening.

8800 GT nVidia
3 Gb Ram

This was a punkbuster issue, the punkbusterb.exe was using far too much of the cpu during a scan, those with older systems noticed it more i found. PB have since updated so this problem shouldn't happen again, i haven't noticed it recently and i was getting it once or twice per map.
