They should set it in Vietnam or Korea. Those were both major wars, and have very very few good games set during them. They've done WWII to death, future would be dumb, and I can't see another good modern COD. Setting it back then would be new and interesting not only for COD but for FPS in general.

Korea wasnt a well known war, and is never really remembered. hence 'forgotten war' Although I've always wanted a Vietnam era COD. Theres some brilliant battles the game could be set on and could also relate to the USMC guy in COD4, not sure how though, father or something like that.

When I heard in another topic about having flashbacks or change of era into someone in your family, such as soaps for example, I thought it'd be a brilliant idea and give us the chance to play both modern, and old. But I think COD6 should actually be based on real life engagements such as in Afghanistan and Iraq to show what it's really like out there and to help them receive support.

How would afghanistan raise awarness..that war will be nearly over by the time cod6 is out. Future would be too alike halo an UT...after cod 5 they should stop whilst they are ahead unless someone has a unique idea. How about ancient war? :P

It's highly unlikely Afghanistan will be over by then, maybe Iraq but theres still a lot of American soldiers based there. The two countries are not related, maybe terroists support each other. But Iraq was mainly to eliminate Saddams 'weapons of mass destruction' while Afghanistans to ease flow of drug trafficking and to defeat the taliban.

Ancient war would rock, multiplayer would be wicked for muskets:
*BANG* 'dammit missed, let me reload'
(sometime later) *BANG* 'dammit....missed'

i agree with u but they need to try and make some modern war games

prefer to go straight back to modern after world at war

yea make a call of duty that shows what would of happend if those nukes hit the east cost

I think Vietnam would be cool. Korea was (no offense to any vets) too boring to me when it comes to battles.
