I think I heard a few days ago that Infinity Ward is hiring people with Sci-Fi-genre experience. The source then proposed that IW's next CoD will indeed be set in the future. I'm all for it. (I'm gonna look into this, make sure I heard right.)

there's already a futuristic game out and its Halo 3, it would be pretty dumb on IW's part to try and tackle that beast. Stick with the MODERN WARFARE. By far the best online FPS I have played to date and its because of the moderness.

Please don't let it be future warfare. Vietnam would be pretty good but do you realize what's going on with the world PRESENTLY? Single player could have an amazing storyline, starting from Bush Sr. to the Iraq war.(If IW isn't afraid of making some bold moves, such as, Bush Jr wanted to start Armagedon due to his religious background, this could be the best selling game ever.)

i would want to see them do a game set in the falklands war. =P that would be interesting. a lot more guns would cap the game off aswell as random playing conditions

All we'd be doing is standing in line to get shot with guns that take an hour to reload...plus there wouldnt be any perks or customization. Sounds like a great game.

Dont get me wrong, im not saying its a terrible idea. Its something thats never been done before, and could be done under a different title, but it would be a step backward for CoD.
