I loved Cod 2, hated cod 3 and loved cod 4 :P. COD 5 could be good but could be bad and ccod 6 is almost certain to be full on crazy and hopefully back to modern times.

Me personally, I'll just play COD4 online as long as their are people to beat. I just don't see the point in getting COD6 right now because of how good a job Infinity Ward did on the multiplayer in COD4. If however they make a real improvement to the multiplayer (like having a way to avoid being paired with idiots with no skill, which I don't think is possible anyway) I will probably get it at some point.

Back on topic, that "final fantasy" idea seems plausible. Also, what the CoD series is missing is: 1) Vietnam setting; and MAYBE 2) Historic (1812/100 year's war)

A civil war game might be cool as a strategy but as a first person shooter I don't think I want to go around and stand in lines spending a minute to reload my gun so I can shoot at other guys standing in lines. Kind of a tough theme to pull off in an fps.

I don't care if its futuristic as long as we still get custom classes. Just can't see what attachments they would have on WWII guns. Perks would still be easy to do though.

cod6 should be set like soon in the future like 2018 and they should use concept weapons designs and no vehicles !!!! oh and like 150 diferent weapons
so u have main weapon class of assault rifles then a sub class of vintage weapons, a sub class of modern weapons and a sub class of concept guns and the same for smgs and shottys and snipers
and no funked up hud with all the fancy gages and meters and flashing lights like other future war games

The COD games have come a long way since the first one and there's a lot of scope for new and better games. I like the fact that it's branched off in two directions; WW2 covered by Treyarch and the kinda CounterStrike scenarios covered by IW.
